Overview

gTrack ("we", "us", or "our") is a real-time location tracking platform operated by gfixi.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use gTrack, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

By using gTrack — whether through our Android app, iOS app, or web dashboard — you agree to the practices described in this policy.

        Short version: We only collect data needed to provide the tracking service. We never sell your data. Location data is only captured during active sessions you start or accept.

How We Use Your Information

Provide the service — share your live location with the people you choose (via a session link or admin assignment)
Account management — authenticate you and manage your profile
In-app communication — deliver real-time chat messages within sessions
Session history — show you a log of past tracking sessions
Service improvement — aggregate, anonymised analytics to improve reliability and performance

        Location data is only collected while a session is active. When you stop a session or it expires, location updates stop immediately. We do not track your location in the background when no session is running.

Data Sharing

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Your location is shared only with:

People who have your session tracking link (which you share intentionally)
Admins in your organisation who have assigned you a session

We use the following third-party services which may process some data:

Data Retention

Location data — retained for 30 days after a session ends, then permanently deleted
Chat messages — retained for 90 days, then deleted
Session records — retained for 12 months for audit purposes
Account data — retained until you delete your account

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@gfixi.com.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plaintext passwords
Session tokens use JWT with expiry
Database is encrypted at rest
Location data is only accessible to parties with the session code or admin access

        No system is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, change your password immediately and contact us.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction — update inaccurate personal information via your profile settings
Deletion — request permanent deletion of your account and all data
Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
Withdrawal — stop location tracking at any time by ending or not starting sessions

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@gfixi.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

gTrack is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us at support@gfixi.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email.

Continued use of gTrack after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
